unifying annotations of Turkic UD treebanks
We held a workshop, UD Turkic Workshop 2023, in September 2023 at ITU, Istanbul, Turkey. Afterwards, the workshop participants gathered to construct the UD Turkic Group, aiming to unify the Universal Dependencies treebanks for Turkic languages. Since the workshop, we’ve been having regular meetings to discuss the current annotation approaches and find a common ground between different schemes.
As part of our efforts, we presented the following works:
- An abstract, titled “Unifying the Annotations in Turkic Universal Dependencies Treebanks”, at the 2nd UniDive Workshop in Naples, Italy on Feb 8, 2024;
- A paper, titled “Strategies for the Annotation of Pronominalised Locatives in Turkic Universal Dependency Treebanks”, at MWE-UD 2024 in Turin, Italy on May 25, 2024.
