Colors of the 'races'
Alexander Stubb is the president of Finland while Draymond Green is playing in the NBA as part of the ‘Golden State Warriors’, as of Aug 2024. The former is white and the latter is black; see them below. The white person’s image has much lighting while the black person’s doesn’t so much. This also adds to the contrast between them.
I took 1 pixel each from the faces in the two images. The pixels are taken from the cropped images below:
A pixel from Stubb’s right cheek is #d39b8b, a pixel from Green’s left cheek is #4b302f, and a pixel from Green’s mustache is #0d0507. The differences between
- the pixels of Stubb and Green’s cheeks: 335,
- ‘white’ (
#ffffff) and the pixel of Stubb’s cheek: 260, - ‘black’ (
#000000) and the pixel of Green’s cheek: 170, and - ‘black’ and the pixel of Green’s mustache: 25.
Keep in mind that the differences are accentuated by the lighting. The numbers show that the difference between the colors of the faces, i.e. 335, is smaller than the combined difference, i.e. 430, of the faces to the colors of ‘white’ (260) and ‘black’ (170). Just food for thought for “what color is black?”
